Kickstarter Target Reached - But it's Not Over Yet!

28/05/2012

Stainless Games' Kickstarter campaign, raising funds for development of new 'points for pedestrians' driving game Carmageddon: Reincarnation, has hit its funding target with 10 days to go.

This means we still have 10 days to continue attracting new Backers and push the sum towards our “stretch goal” of $600k plus.

'Kickstarter is the ideal platform for Indie developers such as Stainless that want to see their projects realised, and do so with the backing and involvement of the online community of gamers that will be playing the final product,' said Neil Barnden, Executive Director of Carmageddon: Reincarnation. 'It allows them to be active in the development of the game, both in funding the project and getting involved in submitting ideas and feedback to us. It makes the whole process feel collaborative and community based.'

Matt Edmunds, Stainless COO said, 'Achieving our target so quickly is a testament to the hard work of all fifty staff here at Stainless. They can all feel justifiably proud. Thousands of fans around the world have backed this campaign, with more coming on board every day, and we’re now well on the way to giving them the best Carmageddon game yet!'

Here's the Kickstarter update page, minutes after the target was hit.
